SUMMER REFLECTION

Updated: Sep 25, 2019

This was by far the fastest summer in the history of summers...although I think we all say that every summer.

Sometimes I notice a lot of us put so much pressure on ourselves to accomplish so much in a small period of time. I had big plans this summer but of course did not get it all done. What I did accomplish trumps all of my "big plans" and it's something that can't be shown in a picture or an Instagram story. I was able to get one step closer in being a more calm and less anxious person. Anxiety is something I really struggle with, and this summer I can proudly say I was able to tackle that obstacle. Yes anxiety will come and go forever, but now it's not impacting my every day life and relationships like it once was.

Remember to not be so hard on yourself when you think you aren't accomplishing what you originally set out to achieve. We are constantly learning, and after some reflection, I'm almost certain that you can uncover a far greater accomplishment that you didn't even know was on your list of goals.

What is something you accomplished this summer that can't be shown in a photo? Something only YOU can feel and know?
